Approximately 30-35 minutes total (Room 1: 5 min, Room 2: 8 min, Room 3: 6 min, Room 4: 13 min, Room 5: 2 min).

Students look at the eerie house scene and discuss what they'd expect to find inside. A hidden object (a cat) is tucked into the picture — clicking it reveals the key that unlocks the next room.
Students click a bag to draw one picture card at a time, then click the matching word tag scattered around the room. A correct match reveals the icon on the tag with a chime; a wrong one shakes and buzzes. Once all 10 words are matched, a key appears. An optional "What's missing?" button blanks out random words for a quick memory review.
Six question cards sit on a sofa: five multiple-choice questions about Halloween history and traditions, plus one flashcard-style picture round. Clicking a card opens it and reveals the answer choices; correct/incorrect feedback is instant. After all six are solved, a key appears at the last card's spot.
Four stages in one room: (1) a speaking warm-up with five still frames from the trailer, (2) watching the video and dragging/tapping the pictures into the order they happen, (3) watching again and answering three True/False statements, and (4) flipping eight discussion cards to talk with a partner. A key appears once all eight cards are flipped.
A celebratory Halloween scene with clickable hotspots (pumpkins, witch hat, skull, lantern, candle, moon) — each one bursts into animated candy with a chime. No task here, just a fun reward for finishing the quest.
Each room only unlocks after the previous task is completed (the key appears). All sound effects are generated in-browser — no external audio files.
You found the key to the next room — but this is just a preview.
